Harry Potter 7 was fantastic! We saw it on the IMAX which I highly recommend. I can't wait for the next one. Super sad that it's the last one tho. Here are a few of us Harry Potter nerds after the movie. Yes we did make those shirts and they are cussin AWESOME. You know you want one.

Anybody with a Pretty Face

Last year my sister Sarah and I bought a townhouse, and we had a big blank wall in our living room and nothing to hang on it. So on a trip to Utrecht art store with Alison, I bought a canvas and asked her if she would paint something for me. She's an Art major at BYU and we thought she could also use it as an assignment. The only things Sarah and I told her as a guideline was no flowers and no people. I'm so glad that we didn't tell her what to paint, because I absolutely LOVE what she came up with. She painted the whole canvas and then had my dad write the lyrics to his song called "Anybody with a Pretty Face" over the top. That song has always been my favorite song of my dad's, I used to think it was about me when I was little. I used to sing along with my dad all the time when he would play guitar and sing. On top of the lyrics Alison painted our old house that I lived in until I was 10. I love the simple way she did the house and the fun colors. My Dad then built a frame to add the finishing touch. I never would have come up with an idea like that, so I'm so glad Alison did. This painting is something that I will have forever. I'm so happy that Alison and my dad took the time to make something special for me. Thanks guys!

This is one of my favorite pictures. I took this when I was a kid with a disposable camera. My dad used to sit on that step all the time.

Little Lola J

My adorable niece Lola came to see me at work last Thursday. We made sure to follow the rules and put her in a hairnet. :) I love this little cutie!

Reallo? I meant to say really, I misspoke.

Do you ever realize something stupid is about to come out but it's too late to stop it? I tend to do that a lot. I combine words, slur them together, and sometimes just make up new ones. Most people are nice enough to pretend I didn't just slaughter a word, and then there is Savanna. Savanna has this "yeah I caught that you idiot" look, and she will always repeat what I said and laugh. The best part is, I get to do it back. Between the two of us, it's a pretty common occurrence and we get some good laughs. Here are some of our stupid moments.

This is one of the more embarrassing things I've ever done. A few years ago I was at a wedding reception for a family friend. I knew the bride and had never met the groom. I went to introduce myself to Bruce, the groom, and here's what came out, "Hi, I'm Bruce." No, no I'm not Bruce. What I meant to say was " Hi Bruce, I'm Michelle." I felt like a complete idiot. Who knows if they even remember this, but I sure do.

Here's one I like to remind Savanna of every time she makes fun of me. While paying at the drive thru at In and Out, she noticed the employees name tag. His name was Niko. She wanted to thank Niko, But instead she said "Thanko!" Ha. Dummy.

Savanna happened to witness this one. We were at work and my phone started ringing. Apparently my brain couldn't decide between hola and hello, so it landed on "Holo."

Those are our favorite mess ups. I frequently greet Savanna with a "Holo" and I'm polite, so when she helps me out I "Thanko" her as well. Recently on an episode of 30 Rock, Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) blurted out in an argument "Reallo? I meant to say really. I misspoke. Continue." I've never laughed at the TV so hard.

He Who Must Not Be Named

This is the pumpkin I carved this year for Halloween. If you don't know who it is, well you can't read my blog.
