I turned 25 this year. Seriously? I swear I just had my 21st birthday. I know 25 isn't old, but it makes me feel a lot older than saying 24. Then a coworker asked me if I had turned 21 yet. It made me laugh. I knew she knew I was over 21 but she said with my "airbrushed face" it was hard to tell. I sure love that lady.
I figured since I am now 25, I would share 25 things about myself. Let's hope I can think of 25....
1. I love my name. I have never once for a second been ashamed or embarrassed by it. I've never wanted any other name. That's why every username, blog, etc I have has some combination of Michelle Naomi in it. Someday, I'll be a little sad to change my last name but I'll do it because I love the person it's attached to.
2. I'm a very open person. I don't really believe in TMI. Most likely, whatever you have to tell me that you think is too much information is not something that will bother me. Really, I'll probably laugh or have a similar story to ease your embarrassment. Though, I have probably told people things they find a little too much info. You learn to love that about me, or stop talking to me about your personal life. :)
3. I listen to my iPod ridiculously loud in my car. Those long drives home from school and work get boring real quick. And yes, I do sing along the whole way whether I'm off key or remember the words or not.
4. I don't like hamburger. It's a texture thing.
5. I don't like seafood of any kind. It's a mental thing. It creeps me out.
6. I don't get offended easily.
7. I have no tolerance for people being mean to animals. I don't like to see it or hear about it. Even in a joking way, I don't find it funny.
8. Alligators & crocodiles completely creep me out.
9. No braces or cavities. Ever. I really lucked out in the teeth department.
10. No stitches or broken bones. (knock on wood) Though, it's possible I may have broken my little toe a couple months ago, I stubbed it that hard.
11. I hate blueberries. The taste and the smell.
12. My mainly go to fast food places that all contain the word taco. Taco Bell, Taco Time, Del Taco, Taco Amigo. Can you tell I like tacos?
13. If something is coming near my face/eye or if I even think it might be, my eyes freak out. I blink a ton and my eyes twitch a bit. I know I look like an idiot but I can't help it.
14. I've keep a 4.0 GPA through my college classes. Something I never achieved in high school.
15. Target is my favorite place. Sometimes I will go in there simply because it's been a few weeks and I feel the need to browse whatever new stuff they got in. I never leave without purchasing something.
16. I have an infatuation with upholstered chairs.
17. I keep a pink pocketknife on my key chain.
18. I really try to always say please and thank you because I know what it feels like to be unappreciated.
19. When I walk into a space I immediately start analyzing it. Not that I'm judging your house, office, or whatever. I'm just always curious what made people pick certain colors or why they placed things the way they did. Yes, sometimes I rearrange things in my head, or stare at that crooked picture frame that is driving me crazy, but mainly I'm just checking it out. I've always done this and it's why I chose to go to school for Interior Design.
20. I only own 2 red tops. An Ohio Buckeye's shirt I bought to surprise my boyfriend, and a red tank top that only come out on July 4th. Red is not my color.
21. I don't like the sound of my voice. That's why my voice mail is the prerecorded lady and always will be.
22. I have a weakness for perfume and it's best I stay away from the fragrance counters.
23. I like giving presents. I like giving nice presents. I usually spend more than I originally intended. Lucky for all my friends and family, I guess.
24. I always misspell restaurant. Every time. I had to use spell check to get that right.
25. I love to laugh and I do it often.

It Happened
A few months ago, I officially became a commuter when I ate a burrito as I drove down the freeway. I've eaten granola bars and such while driving for a long time, but a big burrito finally pushed me over that line. This week I was pushed over another line. The student line. What pushed me? Taking a nap, in my car, in the parking garage on campus. Yep, I did it. I'm the person that eats while they drive and sleeps in their car. I'm a hot mess.

Life & Love
Hi. It's been awhile. Sadly, not because I've been away doing amazing things. Just life. Work, school, boyfriend, family and friends. And some occasional me time that gets squished in between laundry and errands. Oh, the life of a grown up.
This grown up did have some fun on Valentine's Day.
I woke up to this.
This grown up did have some fun on Valentine's Day.
I woke up to this.
Jason snuck in my house on his way to work and left me this. Fantastic way to wake up!
Then, I found this surprise when I left for work.
He also surprised me with a book, concert tickets and a cute elephant mug. I got me a good one. You can be jealous.
At work, all of us were given a box a week prior to V-Day to decorate for our Valentines. We lined them all up in our kitchen window.
Some people got VERY creative. I, did not. I stuck the hearts on first and then wanted to add the ladybug (or is it a turtle?) but realized it would know look like there were hearts coming out it's butt. I did it anyway and told my coworkers that they were "love farts."
This was my table decor for the holiday.
This, is what happens when my sister gets her hands on it.
I had to buy more and fill it again. The day after I took this picture, I came home to it completely empty.
Then, when I filled it for the second time, I ate them all within days. We have a problem.
How cute was I?
Two Years Old
Three Years Old
Years ago all my school pictures were scanned into the computer. I just found them again and thought I would share. No, not all of them. No way would I post the awkward years for the world to see.

Run and hide your crazy, and start acting like a lady.
You know that girl that walks into a room and gets everyone's attention without even knowing? That girl that everyone wants to be friends with and secretly hates all at the same time? And it's not because she is full of herself or trying to hard, she is naturally that person. The girl that when she's not around everyone talks about how nice and funny she is. They talk about how much they love her and how she will do anything for anyone. She's that girl that never talks poorly about anyone but also stands up for herself when she needs to. The girl that makes you laugh and you just want to hang out with her everyday. That even when you try really hard to think of a negative thing about her, it just doesn't happen. Everyone knows a girl like this.
I want to be that girl. That's my resolution, not for 2012, but for life. Not because I feel the need to be popular or accepted. Simply because only good things can come from a goal like that. I want to be that positive person in people's lives. I know it's not possible for anyone to be positive 100% of the time, but you can control how you act when it's a low point. I don't want to be known as a gossip or someone that makes fun of others. I don't want to be known as a complainer. I want to be the girl that you can always count on. The girl that will be there for you no matter what. The girl that makes you smile and leaves you feeling happy. The girl that you can come to with a problem and know I will keep it to myself.
I try to do a lot of these things already. To an extent, I've always been that laid back, let things roll of my shoulders kinda person already. I don't like to fight with people, I don't like to get upset over little things. I'm not easily offended because I know everyone has their own opinion. I would rather forget about it and move on. But anyone that really knows me, also knows I will fight for what I believe in and let you know my opinion when I think it needs to be heard. Those are things that are built into me and will never change, but I want to do what I can to better myself. I want to be "that girl."
Really, when all is said and done, I want everyone to know I was here and I enjoyed it.
