ROY G BIV

The only dirty laundry to my name is what I'm wearing right now. How awesome is that? The washer and dryer have literally been going all day. It's amazing how accomplished I feel just by having my laundry done and put away. My room has looked like a tornado attacked for a few weeks now, so it was an accomplishment.
Three weeks ago, I started working at a department store. Not my ideal situation, but it's income for the time being. It's been going well overall. The managers have only had good things to say about me, but there are some negatives. I'm only working part time, the shifts always change, weird customers and all that jazz. One thing I'm not loving is the dress code. It's pretty much black. Black is hard to do when my closet looks like this...

Not much black going on in there. I like color. Wearing black all the time is just depressing. I know it looks professional, but it's so boring. My personality requires a little more excitement in my wardrobe. Plus, I'm a t-shirt and jeans kinda girl, not a dress pants and blouse kinda girl. I need a job that will let me wear my normal clothes and doesn't leave me covered in dirt like my last job, or require dress pants. Is that so much to ask? I know they are out there somewhere, I just have to find the right one.

Brought to you by the letter M and the number 24.

My birthday was awesome. I spent the whole day hanging out with Jason. We went to lunch, picked out the new stereo for my car (Jason's gift), saw the movie Arthur, and had dinner at Gloria's Little Italy. It was a fun day. Then on Sunday I celebrated with the family. They got me that awesome green bike I've been lusting over, and a Harry Potter Pop-up book and cookbook. Sounds like gifts for a 12 year old, not a 24 year old, but hey I was excited. I'm a 12 year old at heart. Rachel made my birthday cake. Sean and Tiffany wanted to try a Pina Colada cake for their wedding, so we made it my birthday cake. It was delicious and super cute!

Though no one seems to care about my birthday in this picture, I assure you they did join in on the festivities.

It's not you're normal pop up book. So detailed!

Green with Envy

I want this.

I haven't been on a bike since who knows when but I want this one. I know it would sit in my garage 90% of the time but I can't help being in love with it.
