Happy Tears

I laugh a lot. I laugh loud. People know my laugh. I don't know if that's a good thing or not. As long as I can remember people have recognized me by my laugh. I remember going to Provost Elementary and a neighbor told me they knew I was in the hall because they heard my laugh. I've gotten that reaction my whole life. I honestly don't know what my laugh sounds like. I don't like to hear my voice. I have a low voice for a girl. It sounds weird to me.
I have friends with contagious laughs. Their laugh makes you laugh. Not because it's a weird or ugly laugh, just one that makes you happy enough to join in. I don't know if my laugh is one of those. Just distinct enough that people remember it and can hear me from across rooms, stores, probably miles sometimes.
The best laughs are when they turn silent. You're laughing so hard that no sound even comes out anymore, it's usually accompanied by crossed legs, stomach pain and tears. I love that laugh. I also love when a laugh comes out at full force. Like something was so funny you had to honor it with full volume. It's usually not on purpose, but it's great.
Laughter really is the best thing ever. Every good friend I have makes me laugh. That's why we're friends. I can't spend genuine time with a person if there is never any laughter. My friends and family are the funniest people I know.
I also think laughter is why I'm not easily offended. I usually don't pick sides in arguments, I don't hold grudges often, I don't like to create drama. I would rather move past the negative and get to the happiness. I think people spend too much time being mad at each other. So let's all enjoy the laughter.

" Give, give, give, and laugh, laugh, laugh. Even when it's at the expense of others, it's important to laugh. Laugh loudly, laugh often, and most important, laugh at yourself."

SAP

I love "How I Met Your Mother". It's one of my favorite shows. I love that it gets replayed on multiple channels. I could watch it all day. Lifetime replays it multiple times a day. Yesterday I turned on Lifetime to find HIMYM in Spanish. At first I thought it was part of the episode, then I realized it wasn't and was annoyed and confused. So I did some channel surfing to see what else I could find. I landed on "Sex and the City", another favorite. But there was so sound at all. WHAT IS HAPPENING? TV was ruined. So I gave up and watched a movie. I later figured out that I had accidentally hit the language button on my remote and it changed to Spanish. Apparently it only works on certain channels and they happen to be the two I was trying to watch. I felt pretty stupid and mad I missed my favorite shows for nothing. So, if you turn on your TV and find stuff is in Spanish, try the language button before giving up.

Moab

Jason and I spent the weekend in Moab. I, the person from Utah, had never been. While Jason, from Ohio, has been multiple times. I'm pretty sure Jason has seen more of Utah than I have, it's kinda sad. It was a good weekend. We camped on Thursday night then stayed in a hotel for the other two nights. One night of camping is good enough for me.

We spent Friday in Arches National Park. We wanted to get an earlier start to try and avoid some of the heat. We still ended up hiking in about 100 degree heat. We started with the hike up to Delicate Arch. The map said it was 3 miles round trip, I thought "Oh that's not too bad." No one told me it was a straight incline the entire time. I'm chubby and out of shape, it wasn't pretty. I did more huffing and puffing than the Big Bad Wolf. I did a lot of apologizing for my pathetic self to Jason. But I wasn't going to let all the old people pass me up.

It was awesome once we got up there.

We took another hike/walk to Landscape Arch after some lunch. I didn't take my backpack so Jason has all those pictures.

Saturday we went to Dead Horse Point and Canyonlands National Park. A nice easy day in the car with the A/C. Which was perfect since I was sore and sunburned.

Dead Horse Point. It's a pretty cool canyon. Hard to do it justice with a point and shoot camera, but you get the idea.

We found a friend.

I love these trees. I don't remember what they are called but they just look so cool.

Canyonlands. This arch was pretty big if you could see if from the other side.

Overall it was a really fun weekend. Full of sun, heat, sweat, laughs and good food. Oh and a birthday boy. I'm sure we'll make another trip to Moab in the future. Maybe when it's a little cooler outside and I'm in better shape.

You know it's funny.

I giggle every time I pass this sign on the way to Salt Lake.

Every time.
Yep, I'm a pervert.

Also, if you're in the car with me as we pass it, I will yell out "Hose & Rubber" just to make sure you didn't miss it. Even if we are in the middle of a conversation.

Older and Wiser

Thursday was Jason's birthday. Not Wednesday like his Facebook states. We thought it was kinda funny everyone was so confused. We spent the weekend in Moab to celebrate. More of that tale later.

Happy Birthday Jason!
You're my best friend and I love you.

32 Days to go.

Tickets are purchased.
IMAX 3D here I come.
I'm so excited.

Thanks, Spray Tan.

You know how you always feel better with a little color? You magically lose 10lbs, your skin looks great, and you there is this glow about you? Well, obviously the $20 I paid for a spray tan paid off.  It was a good week. It all started with the random guy yelling out his window at me.  It followed with multiple compliments at the wedding.  Thursday at work, a lady told me how beautiful my skin was while I was ringing her up and said I probably get that all the time. It's always nice to hear it, no matter how often it's said to me. Saturday, a customer told me how chic I looked in my all black attire with my yellow shoes, and a coworker told me how great my skin was while matching me for a foundation. Then to top it all off, as I left the mall parking lot last night I passed a group of teenage boys and they whistled at me. I couldn't help but laugh. If it had been a group of dirty old men, I would've been a little grossed out but still secretly smiled on the inside.
Whatever made all these people be so nice to me this week, I'm glad they did. After feeling not so attractive the last few months, this was a good boost.

Moral of the story, spray tans are awesome.

Wedding Bells

Congratulations
Sean & Tiffany!

My big brother got married! Sean and Tiffany got married yesterday and it couldn't have gone better. The happy couple looked amazing, the weather was perfect and the location was gorgeous. I'm very happy for them. Tiffany is an amazing girl and fits into our family perfectly.

Here are a few pictures I stole from Sarah's Facebook. :)

I'm a little squinty but Jason looks quite handsome.

Sisters. I don't know where Rachel was. New sister Tiffany was getting her own gorgeous pictures taken.

Happy couple with the amazing cake Rachel made.

Pretty and delicious.

Welcome to the Stosich family, Tiffany.
I love you guys!

Snap, Crackle, Pop!

Until about two months ago, I'd been seeing a Chiropractor on a regular basis. I haven't been going because since I left my warehouse job my back doesn't hurt as much and I'm poor. Even when I was going, I would regularly ask Sarah to pop my back. The other night I was laying on Jason's floor twisting my back trying to get my lower back to pop. Jason asked if I wanted him to pop my back. I've only had him do it once before. So I laid on my stomach, let out a breath, and then Jason almost pushed me through to the garage. I started laughing so hard I had a hard time stopping so he could try a different spot. I thought there was going to be a Michelle imprint on the carpet when I got up. His force was successful though, it cracked multiple times with that one hearty push.

Stranger Danger?

Monday afternoon I was on my way home and decided to stop at Target (my favorite store) to get a prescription filled. It was a crazy windy day so as I walked across the parking lot I did a lot of playing with my hair to keep it out of my face. I got to the crosswalk and noticed a car was stopped waiting for me to cross. It was the only car around and I was really the only one crossing. I thought it was kinda weird, but nice, that they stopped for me. I passed in front of the car and got to the doors when I saw the car stop behind me. It was a guy about my age. He rolled down the window and yelled "You're a very beautiful girl" at me. I kinda laughed and said thank you. He said he just had to let me know and he wasn't trying to be creepy. I smiled and thanked him again and then we both went on our way. I laughed to myself as I walked in and thought, well he did come off a little creepy but he sure did make my day. It also takes some guts to randomly yell out a compliment to a stranger. Maybe he was hoping I would approach him, or maybe he really did just want to let me know. Either way, it made me smile. What if we all actually voiced the nice things we think about random people we come across? There would be a lot more smiles going around.
